According to foreign media reports, online divorce services have been launched in England and Wales since the 1st of this month. The applicant can complete the divorce procedure simply by filling in the information on the Internet, uploading materials, and paying fees. A spouse who chooses to divorce online needs to fill out a questionnaire and answer questions about marriage history, property and income, and arrangements for children. 

据外媒报道，自本月 1 日起，英格兰和威尔士地区已开通网上离婚服务。申请人只需通过网络填写信息、上传材料、缴费就能办理离婚手续。选择网上离婚的配偶需要填写问卷，回答关于婚史、财产和收入以及对孩子安排等问题。

The Department of Justice of the United Kingdom stated that this service is designed to help people who are in difficult times and improve the speed of divorce procedures.

英国司法部表示，这项服务是为了解救那些正处于艰难痛苦时刻的人们，能够提高离婚手续办理速度。

The British "The Times" reported that this online divorce system is one of the measures for the modernization of the English court. It is expected to save 25 million pounds (about 215 million yuan) annually by reducing processing time and paperwork.

英国《泰晤士报》报道称，这一网上离婚体系是英国法庭现代化举措之一，预计通过减少处理时间和文书工作每年节约2500万英镑（约合2.15亿元人民币）。
